When considering adding air conditioner for truck or engineering vehicle, maybe diesel-engine air conditioner is favored for its fuel-saving and low fault. But about the noise, can you bear it? 

Whether diesel-engine air conditioner is fuel-saving or not, let’s do something to check:

1. Though diesel-engine air conditioner is designed for fuel-saving, it works based on diesel cost is undeniable. If cooling power is 3kw, fuel cost per hour would be several dollars. For single cylinder diesel, it’s much powerful but much fuel cost. Especially the noise, sometimes it operates like a tractor. Just say goodbye to sleep with such an air conditioner.

2. More cost on engine and spare parts. When summer comes, you may find that doing repairs again and again if with traditional air conditioner or diesel-engine air conditioner. The reason for that is diesel engine wears faster while driving with idling or low rotating speed. Though it may reduce fuel cost, insufficient lubrication of engine will happen meanwhile. While under low rotating speed, the alternator of compressor may not perform well for low compression efficiency. The result of insufficient recycling cooling will cause compressor load repeatedly in high frequency, the fuel cost will rise. So does what happen to fuel cost on alternator while in operation.
