Our partner comes back from holiday to office much earlier than we expected. We are looking forward to a lucrative new year in local market and obviously our customer never let us down. This customer referred to Mr. Sebastián that he knew our product and relative information both from our Facebook page and referral from his friend. His friend have electric truck air conditioner K20BS2 installed for the truck in 2016 and till now it works well without downtime back for maintenance. So he makes his decision to come to our partner to have one.
His truck is Kenworth T680, the featured model among Kenworth truck series. Cutting-edge, aggressive aerodynamic design and whole-integrated, highly efficient PACCAR powertrain makes it a good companion for long haul business of running trucks while helps to reduce operational budget. T680 has been incorporated with Idle Management System, which is the original off-duty temperature control system to keep better HVAC performance inside the cab. But with years’ exposure to complicated climate like sand, dust, ultra violet (UV) and extreme heat, cooling performance of original air conditioner starts to decrease, and it cannot meet cooling need of the customer. So our electric truck sleeper air conditioner K20BS2 is always a perfect alternative for the worn original cooling parts.
With same design concept on anti-idling technology of T680 and K20BS2, it will be helpful on reducing problems of parts compatibility, time cost on installation, amounts of mounting and fixing parts, and further increase satisfaction degree of the customer. Besides, real-time reporting technology integrated in T680 will not only help the chauffeur optimum time running truck for max fuel efficiency but also have a better view of how K20BS2 efficiently cools down the inside temperature while reduce fuel cost on cooling and heating (heater is optional in K20BS2 based on customer need) simultaneously. T680 has different options on sleeper size and this one has been equipped with 52-inch mid-roof sleeper, which is a welcome sanctuary for short layover. 8 feet wide space inside the sleeper offers a generous walk-through and stand-up-and-stretch headroom. No matter short nap at noon or whole night sleep, K20BS2 would continuously offer cool and comfort for the whole cab with electricity from battery pack. In our previous installation, K20BS2 has been mounted for the model with 76-inch high-roof sleeper and it works well, so for the medium size sleeper, cooling performance and cooling time would be better than expected.
Though T680 would have original inverter as optional part, it seems that most trucks in local market has not been integrated with this. So our partner helps the customer have one mounted under the bunk to allow air conditioner keep running when connect to shore power while charging the batteries. For original electric part of the truck, the alternator is 160Amp, 12V, and the battery is 950CCA, total number of which is 4 pieces. It has been enough for running K20BS2.
