It seems that the time before approaching Christmas has become busy season for our partner. Since all people will turn into the state of cozy and lazy during vacation, all pending issues shall be done before the annual happy festival time. So another local fleet company comes to our partner for cooling solutions.

Dozens of newly-procured Kenworth Trucks need to be installed with electric truck air conditioner K20BS2. The installation seems to be ongoing for some days.

We saw these Kenworth C500, extreme beast of burden in Kenworth truck series, model again. Among our previous installation cases, some of them have been retrofit into mixer truck to offer concrete to construction plot, or tanker truck to store and transport liquid or gas materials. No matter what types of trailer or cargo will be, Kenworth C500 is specifically designed to cope with these toughest off-road applications. This time, it will be used to transport some little or medium size agricultural machines like tractors. And the transportation may take some time for the drivers to do his job on highway. So whole night sleep may not happen for this time’s usage but pull over in rest area and take a break is still necessary. Fuel cost during transportation of such heavy load has been a huge spending in the budget, the fleet owner definitely will have intention to reduce some other costs. Truck sleeper air conditioner K20BS2, totally powered by vehicle batteries, will be a good help to cut down budget on fuel cost with ignorance of engine operation as power source.

For the cab of these Kenworth trucks, they are the model of extended day cab with 38'' AeroCab FlatTop Sleeper. The whole area of driving cab and sleeper will be sufficient for inside activities and economic in each cubic meters usage. The condenser has been installed just in the upper middle of sleeper back wall while evaporator will be positioned just high up on the end of sleeping mattress to offer enough cool air to both driving cab and sleeper. K20BS2 has been proved many times for powerful cooling efficiency in some high-rise extended sleeper, so classic day cab and economic size of sleeper would be much easier taking less time to cool down.

Usually workload original truck electric system is enough to activate K20BS2 and keep its continuous operation. Our partner would not have to concern too much or do some job on increase original electric workload. Unless the customer has longer cooling time need, extra battery packs may need to be added. The alternator of these C500s is 12V, 160Amp plus 4 pieces of 950CCA battery.
